After appearing in the New York Philharmonic’s Sweeney Todd concert, original Murder For Two cast member Jeff Blumenkrantz has returned to the scene of the crime—New World Stages, that is—to play all of the suspects in the hit off-Broadway musical comedy on March 17. He succeeds composer Joe Kinosian, who took over the role during Blumenkrantz’s hiatus.
Directed by Scott Schwartz, Murder For Two features music by Kinosian, lyrics by Kellen Blair and a book by both Kinosian and Blair. Blumenkrantz reunites with original cast member Brett Ryback in the zany musical comedy. Murder For Two is a murder mystery with a twist: one actor (Ryback) investigates the crime, the other plays all the suspects (Kinosian) and they both play the piano.
Blumenkrantz has appeared on Broadway in Into the Woods, The Threepenny Opera, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, A Class Act and Damn Yankees. His film and TV credits include The Good Wife, Will and Grace, 30 Rock and Ugly Betty.
